Day 1:
You will be picked up tomorrow morning at the entrance of your hotel. They drive along the Nile and pass numerous Upper Egyptian towns and villages; of course, we take breaks for you.
First, you visit the temple of Karnak; He is certainly one of sehenswertesten temple in the world, because he’s still after thousands of years in a remarkably good condition – with a little imagination you can put yourself easily in the history of this impressive sanctuary. You will have plenty of time to explore the area – to see the entrance area where you get an idea of how the immense pylon was built to traverse the avenue of sphinxes with ram-headed sphinxes, the impressive portico with its more than one hundred well-preserved columns to explore, admire the hieroglyphs and paintings to look at the Holy See and take a look at the numerous chapels, temples and statues. And if you want,
Then we make a stop in the 3400 years old Colossi of Memnon. The gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. were once the guardian of his long-defunct mortuary temple complex, which at the time was greater than the Temple of Karnak.
After this stop, we show you the Valley of the Kings, where over a period of 500 years, the ancient Egyptians buried their kings and powerful nobles, and where the mummies of some of the most famous and glamourösesten personalities were found from the Pharaonic period. You can descend into the tombs of great Egyptian rulers and admire the well-preserved colorful paintings and hieroglyphics on the walls.
After lunch we head to another highlight – the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. She was one of the most fascinating rulers of ancient Egypt, a female pharaoh, and stood impressively demonstrated that it could successfully rule over an empire as a woman. Finally, they had built this architecturally unusual funerary temple for themselves, with pillared terraces, a portico and numerous statues, paintings and reliefs.
After check-in at your hotel, you have the unique opportunity to watch the “Sound and Light Show” at the Temple of Karnak. You will travel back to the world of the Pharaohs and a fantastic spectacle do (surcharge).
